    Question Hand cleaner

What kind of hand cleaner are you guys using?

I`ve got an almost empty bottle of Fast Orange pumice.
Sometimes I have to follow up with a nail brush and Lava soap.

It`s not just wax, oil and grease. There`s grass stains, paint, stain, etc. than needs to be cleaned up before dinner.

I do wear gloves for the harsher stuff.

Gloves are the best hand cleaner.

PAW- Despite the sweat issue, I still go for the gloves. But when I don`t use them (which seems mighty often!) I just do what you do...something kinda harsh (the Fasts Orange Pumice or Boraxo) followed as soon as possible by something milder. And yeah, with a good brush.

    Re: Hand cleaner

At work (car fixin’) I use Zep Shell Shock, I think it uses walnut shell as abrasive and maybe a soy base for cleaning.

At home, I’ve got some bars of soap my wife’s folks gave me; I think it’s goats milk soap with pumice.

Interestingly, before I had that I was just using a bar of my normal in-the-shower soap and it works just as well. Dove men+care deep clean soap. Also has some kinda mild abrasive in it. Works as good as anything!

I started a thread topic on this very subject in mid-May, 2019. Reference:

Please note that one Autopian said that Orange Gel cleaners clog drain pipes, for what it is worth in this referenced thread.

I still think that`s from people using too much product. 20-some years of Fast Orange with Pumice haven`t caused any issues with my shop`s utility sink drain.
