Carpro Cquartz UK 3.0 vs. Cquartz SiC??

Anyone have experience with these 2? I am usually a gtechniq user but was going to try quartz UK and then saw the SiC as the new product. Anyone try it?

    Thanks!!

Re: Carpro Cquartz UK 3.0 vs. Cquartz SiC??

SiC is actually the replacement for TiO2, not for UK 3.0. SiC is supposed to have more resistance to chemicals and minerals such as water spots. Many actually add a coat of SiC over UK 3.0 to add extra resistance to water spotting.

If you’re thinking one coating, go with UK 3.0 but if you want to add some extra strength and are willing to do both, then you should consider SiC over UK 3.0.

As far as application, SiC has much longer open times usually (depends on heat/humidity), which means it will take you a lot longer to apply SiC than most other coatings.

I’d agree with above as I think UK lasts longer. I generally want 2 years out of a coating. I’ve read SiC is less

Thank you. I thought the SiC was a replacement for UK3. Thank you for the correction. I’ll get the uk3 ordered and give it a shot. It’ll be interesting to see how it compares to gtecgniq.

Use both UK topped with SiC. You will be amazed at the slickness and look of these. Better slickness Thant CSL/Exo.

This replaces their TiO2 which was also good. It and SiC have an 18-24 month rating.

Thank you! I will give it a shot. There`s some dumb regulation of air shipment of these products so it sucks find good prices on these kind of coatings here in Hawaii. Both products would run me close to $200.

Good info, I`m looking for coating suggestions for a red viper. It currently has McKees 37 ceramic V2, but I`m going to polish and replace since it has some marring from an unrelated Ppf installation.
