I used variations on that theme for years before MG came out. I *NEVER*, not once, got all the water off with anything like those. ALWAYS had to follow up with a (at that time cotton) towel. Threw all my chamois, real and synthetic, away and never missed `em for a moment.
Try something modern, as in MicroFiber, and you`ll never look back.

You are correct Accumulator that these "loops" catch on sharp body corners and insignia emblems. I have had to "trim" off some of the snags to keep them from snagging even more. It is a trade-off for a drying towel that works extremely well.
By the way, the PFM is NOT an abbreviation for or reference to the chemical or physical make-up of the microfiber material, but means "Pure Frickin` Magic" according Griot`s Garage marketing description, kind of like a trade-name catch phrase.
