Re: De-Ionized systems. Yay or nay... & or Reverse Osmosis?

titsataki- Glad you`re still happy with it. I do wonder how somebody would choose between your On the Go and my CRS, sounds like either will get the job done OK.

prices seem similar i guess it can be a toss up.
maybe portability. Spotless seems to have a cart that can be moved around.
The on the go is the 2 filter step containers. I have it in near my hose bib and connect and disconnect via quick connect/disconnect connectors.
I as well do not use it as much. but i used it for mixing most solutions/cleaners etc etc.. At least I try

    Regards

Yeah, mine is set up with the quick-connects too. The CRS cart isn`t all that important to me either since I just leave it in the same place all the time. And I always end up mixing my IUDJ with distilled and my other stuff with regular tap water. Haven`t used the CRS since the last winter rinse-off/home touchless.

I move my CR around depending where I wash so I like the cart. However if I was buying brand new I`d go with the cheaper system which appears to be On-the-go, especially in the long run. Although with my upgraded CR it might end up evening out in the long term. The CR doesn`t have an odor which has been noted with On-the-go. I don`t feel like that would stop me from getting one over the other though. You could also build a cart easy enough for the other unit. I`m just glad they exist and work.

So far my upgraded unit is working great but that was expected. I`m more curious how long before I need to change resin verses CR resin.

I like to use mine as a quick touch up if I don`t have time for a full wash I will just foam, rinse and blow dry and the daily drivers look good enough until a few more days when I can properly wash them.

Huh, interesting, my CRS *does* get the fishy smell. But then I don`t use it much and I never purge/etc. it.

Glad it`s working so well. Yeah, wonder how long your resin will last.

Yep, although I`ll let that be good enough for a lot longer than a few more days
