Maybe this has been discussed elsewhere, but I can`t find it. What would happen if I were to use an SiO2 product as a spray wax (without shooting the water spray at it)?
Thanks.

Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!
I know Ron is going to thumbs down this, but I had to say it, Car-pro reload.
That said IGL Premier kicks the crap out of it.
I guess I wrote it wrong. I meant what if I use one of the water-activated ones without the water. Just curious; not that I would do it.

My understanding was that the water pressure, not necessarily the water, is what is needed to do whatever witchcraft the spray on/hose off products need to work properly?
Nah you can just spray it on. Hydrolite even has that as an application method when it came out. You get a touch more longevity but nothing outstanding. More slickness imo though.
