    Flex 3401 vs Griots G15 or G21

I`m looking at purchasing a new polisher. At first I was set on getting the Flex. However I`ve seen quite a few people using the Griots correcting cream Paired with a Griots Boss machine. Part of me really like the systems side of it where all the Boss products work together. Similar to the Rupes system.

Am I comparing apples to oranges here? I think I`ve just made this decision harder on myself

I should note that these machines will be used as a side job that`s done mainly on weekends.

The G21 can do anything the flex can, but smoother while finishing down better..
And if you want a cheap mini
GG6 with the new Boss 3in backingplate

Do you have a polisher now?

I`m going to go against the grain here and recommend.......a RUPES LHR 75E!

The 3 inch RUPES is turning into my most used polisher and if you already have a Porter Cable style polisher then you already have a 5 inch or 6 inch option. It`s small and easy to use with one hand, but still has all the power in the world with a 12mm orbit.

Sorry if I made your decision any more difficult!

You`ve definitely made this more difficult! I was thinking about getting the larger polisher to switch the porter cable to the smaller 3" polisher

    I like my Mini too..
Almost purchased a Kamikaze 3in katana plate for it.
But back order was too long and cancelled

Zentool mini is a another alternative..it`s like a G21 vs Rupes legacy.. more watt motor

    I`ll agree with Civic.
My R21 kills defects and finishes down great.
Though I prefer my R15 on my own stuff. When you have a car that wasn`t taken care of the 15 takes a bit longer to do what the 21 does in much less time.

I might have to take that dive into something new. I do like that both rupes and griots boss are a system

I have a PC, 3401, G21, Rupes 15 MarkII. Since you learned on a PC I would go with a long throw machine. The 3401 is a beast, but you work a lot harder to get the job done. If your dealing with a lot of cars with heavy defects the G21 or Rupes 21 with a 5 inch backing plate. Cars with light to moderate defects I would go G15 or Rupes 15. I don`t have a mini so I can`t comment on that. If it`s just your car I would think it would do the job, I just can`t see doing a crew cab long bed pickup with it. Or a boat or motor hone for that matter. Just my opinion, hope it`s helpful.

My main work will be on full size pick ups and suvs with the occasional boat.

Thank you everyone for the help you`ve all made the decision that much harder

Happy with my Boss G15. Sometimes I wish I had the Flex with the forced rotation for the curvy areas, especially on my car, but have learned to work with the G15.
