2016 Silica Black Forester w / very minor wash scratches.

Just picked up new 16 Subaru Forester. Silica Black. Very minor wash scratches on clear coat.

Thinking about H D Polish on a white pad OR Carpro on white pad then wipe with IPA diluted.

Then 22ple 22 or Cquartz or Wolfgang sealant.

    All recommendations are appreciated.

I think you are getting alot of views and not many answers cause its really a matter of opinion and test spot. The products your thinking (do you have them) would probably do you just fine. I think white pad is good but you have to do a test spot to find out for sure, no one can tell you for sure from the computer screen and not seeing the vehicle.

Subaru Black paint is very soft.
I would start with a finish pad and HD Polish. If that doesn`t work, then jump up to a polish pad.
Also, I would have some ONR or QD ready to mist the the panel and the MF towel before removing the polish.
That will help reduce the marring of the paint as you wipe off the polish.

Having a good inspection light or lighting to review your work will really help.
It may look nice in the sunlight, but once you get it under an inspection light it may still show hazing.

I would do some searching on this forum and review anything related to soft black paint.

I used hydrotech blue pd and hd speed on my grandpas red 2013 subaru with great results. And then tangerine pad with wolfgang tsr on my moms 2013 red subaru. With hers, there was some water spot etching i couldnt get out, even with uber compound and a mf pad.

Subaru paint might be soft, but in my experience its not so soft you should be afraid of it like people seem to suggest.
