What do you use for gallon jugs?

I didn`t want to hijack Vega`s container thread.

What are you guys using for gallon jugs? I`ve been using leftover distilled water jugs to store gallons of Clay lube, quick detailer, etc....but they don`t hold up. Sooner or later they start leaking or cracking.

Usually leftover car wash bottles are heavier duty. You can also buy whatever you want at US Plastics.

I have been using those and empty gallons from other detail products. Like my D101, I have the concentrate in the newer one and the old gallon bottle is diluted and ready to use. I do the same with shampoo bottles and have a ready dilution for my foam gun.

I just use my left over bottles from distiller water. Nice cap and seals the product nicely. I save them for my waterless concentrate and windshield wash solution.

not sure I understand here.......when you buy a gallon of a product, doesnt it come in the appropriate gallon jug? are you talking about buying the 5 gallon bucket and then putting a gallon at a time in a separate container? thats what we do, then just use an old gallon APC jug so that its easier to pour from into the standard 32 ounce spray bottle. if you need a cheap gallon container for strong chemicals, just go to the dollar store and buy some purple power or simple green or something. would be only a few dollars, way cheaper than buying something online with shipping.

I`m talking about using a gallon jug to make/store a gallon of clay lube, quick detailer, waterless wash, etc....using uww+ or ONR. I also have different dilution ratios of APC`s that are more convenient to do a gallon at a time

I don`t order a lot of products a gallon at a time so I don`t really have extra bottles leftover from that. Good idea to save em though

Milk jugs work ok if you are in a pinch. I have used Milo`s Tea jugs for ONR WW.

Ha, that`s a good idea, I love US Plastics but it stinks when you need some sort of top that`s 59 cents and it`s $8 shipping.

I save HD gallon jugs from several sources. Windshield washer fluid, Peanut oil for the deep fryer, Distilled vinegar (I make a homemade weed killer with vinegar, epsom salt and dawn).

Oh wise guy...yuk yuk yuk. I HATE Roundup (not to mention Roundup Ready GMO`s!!!) Lets genetically modify food crops so we can [SELL] spray more herbicide poison on the ground - it`s madness I tell you).

1 gallon white vinegar, 2 cups epsom salt, 1/4 cup blue dawn liquid dish soap makes an effective weed killer and is easier on the environment.
