    Belts.

The title explains it all. Belts scratch cars. What are my options? I am currently visiting my childhood with a shoelace. Must say, it does a pretty good job too.

    Thanks,

It won`t eliminate the problem completely, nothing beyond not touching the paint will. That said a mechanics belt will do much better than a metal buckle. These use a leather buckle.

Tons of places. Dickies sells them. I`ll bet you could find them on Amazon. They`re about $20. I wore one for years. They last like any other quality leather belt.

    They look like this:

100% Leather No Scratch Buckle Belt AB12BK

One last thought on this. You might be thinking about a nylon one. In my opinion the leather would be more kind to the paint than a nylon belt.
