Ford Paint- hardness ?

As the owner of two tri-stage painted 2014 Fords I have to call you wrong on this. Both my Tangerine Scream and Green Envy colors are very soft. As was Performance Blue before it.

Colors do vary in softness, I`d imagine yellows an green in particular would be soft. I maybe wrong though, my friends 2015 F150 in dark blue wasn`t exactly soft. That said, they are no wear near the hardness of Audi and other ceramic clears (Obviously). I consider soft to be toyota/lexus black. It will quite literally marr itself by looking at it wrong.

I`d expect any diffs to be mainly a question of which facility did the painting. The MIA Ron Ketcham (gee, where is he..) worked with Ford a lot during his days with AutoInt and he had things to say about this (that I can`t quite remember).

... spend as much time inspecting as I do correcting too.

I hear you on that one, compound a section, wipe off dried product, inspect the section, repeat etc.
