Sorry if this is in the wrong section, would like some input. Just got off the phone with a PDR training class. They said it would cost about $5500 including tools, flight, hotel, for 1 week of training and you get certified. I`m just kind of curious for the future, it`s something that I would like to do. Is it worth it? I was thinking I could just teach myself, but I don`t get certification and I could get more knowledge from a professional on different types of dents and creases.

    What do you guys think?

    FWIW...

If you can afford the class I would go that route. If for anything, we live in a letigious society and better to have the certifications on hand just in case.

I have used the PDR guys before and I am amazed with what can be done. My truck sustained $3k worth of hail damage back in 2011. It was bad enough that my insurance company rep. was talking about cutting the roof off of my truck. So I stopped by a local body shop where a friend of mine brothers worked. After all was said and done, I could not find one single dent! It was truly amazing. I dropped the truck oof on a Monday morning and on Friday afternoon I was picking it up.

So, if you can swing it do the Certification class so you can CYA...

Also, I work for a f.d. and hold various certs in different areas. If we do something, say motor vehicle extrication, we better have the certs to do it. If not we open the town and ourselves to the legal ramifications.

    Good Luck!
