If reasonably priced means under $250, get the one with the best return policy. I`ve had my fill of cheap PW. I can`t get them to last over two years, and I`m no pro and I do winterize them.

I recently got an AR Blue 610, we`ll see how it holds up.

I got one very similar to this one for $75 on craigslist: 2000 psi 1.5 GPM CAT Pump Electric Pressure Washer-CP5211 at The Home Depot

It had an old rusted quick connect that was also broken. Replaced that quick connect with another one I had laying around. That was 2+ years ago. Since then I have spent about $30 on it. Most amazing find ever.

About a year ago I was looking on cl and found another awesome deal. It was a 3-phase big mack-daddy electric pw`er. After meeting up with the guy, that could not speak english, and seeing that what was a BRAND NEW with tags still on it $3k pressure washer being sold for $200 cash, I promptly left. There was no way that thing was not hot and I wanted nothing to do with it.

I agree, and I`d up that "under $250" pricerange quite a bit too.

Re Karchers, FWIW, I`ve had so many of them that I`m embarrassed to say that I keep buying those POS for so long! And I don`t mean just two or three, and I wasn`t buying their cheapest models either.

I`m putting off buying one until I`m ready to spend ~$1K or so, probably on a CamSpray.

Buy the cheap model, foam a few peoples car`s for money and buy a better one. I haven`t paid for a single piece of detailing gear or supply since I started...
If you don`t know the answer, ask the question. The worst that can happen is that you find out the answer.

I wouldn`t do the cheap campbell hausfeld. I have one, and it "works", but it constantly cycles on and off, I think some sort of primer issue. It`s been that way since day one. I`m upgrading to a gas one, and some nice ones can be had for $300.

Yeah, it`s a lot easier/cheaper to get good specs in a gas unit, wish I could just go that route again this time.

I paid $450 for a NorthStar, at Northern Tool a few years back, I have NEVER regretted buying it.
