Does this decrease the durability of the topper product?

Say, if you put Duragloss 111 over Meguiar`s NXT?

This way you could get the filling ability of the Meg`s NXT and lock it in.

Also, does the underlying product shine through, or does the topper pretty much dominate and kill the looks of the underlying product?

I`ve never thought of layering LSP`s as like a sandwich effect, more so like layering pudding. Eventually it all gets mushed together, so the NXT would dissipate while the remnants your longer lasting LSP would be left behind. No matter how gentle you/your pad are with putting on another "layer" of wax, you still abrade a little of the previous layer off.

I`ve done that sort of thing and it seemed to work fine, better than I`d expected in fact. I`ve even had the "filler product" lose its concealing ability while the durable LSP topper remained OK (yeah, that one sure surprised me).

When I do Collinite, I still use my "Collinite sandwich" approach- 845, then 476S, then 845 again. And then I just refresh the 845 until I finally notice some marring that needs corrected.
