    Hello,

I am new to this forum and hoping to get some help. Have a 2011 Porsche 911 with 19k mi and lots of damage on my rear wheel arch bumper bottom from road debris. How can this be fixed or will I need to repaint the whole bumper or just wheel arch. Can this be done at home, i love doing stuff myself.

    Thanks

Yes, you can fix this yourself if you are so inclined. I have had the exact same problem with my Porsches and utilized an airbrush filled with touch up paint supplied by a body shop. It`s actually a lot easier than it sounds.

Originally I had a big chip that necessitated a touch up. The post is here:

But since then I have painted the wheel arch edges and this is much easier since you can mask off the area easily. After doing the repaint I had clear film covered over the area for a permanent fix.

    mmmazing- Welcome to Autopia!

Nice to see your Porsche is getting plenty of exercise..that`s plenty of miles for a 2011!

Should you feel less, uhm....superhumanly capable than Brad B., you might also look into some stuff called DRColorchips, which might be perfectly OK for a not-too-obvious area like you`re dealing with.

BTW, that`s one really cool color you have there!

LOVE that color! My daily driver is very close. Hate to see that happen to it though Hope the DR kit works. Keep us posted!

Also wanted to say great to see you`re driving the hell out of that fine machine, I hope it sees the track often. Good luck with your fix, and put clear bra on it after you fix it.
