Hey everyone, i dont know what the obsession is with everyone trying to find waxes that "bead like crazy", This doesn`t seem like the outcome that we should really be looking for, my car sits outside all the time and the wax on it seems to bead like crazy haha but once the sun comes out all the water droplets create spots every where and seems to trap road dirt and grime onto the car as it isnt washed away with the rain due to beading.

So what i want to know is their a wax that will "sheet like crazy" so when it rains then stops there isnt a single drop of water left on the paint. This seems more pacticall in my eyes as a way of keeping a car looking clean, even though i know that having a wax that beads shows that there is wax on the car:madgrin:

You can use Dodo Juice Time To Dry, it will kill the beading effect.

I`ve tried plenty of products that claimed to sheet, however none of them actually did when rained on, at least initially. Menzerna FMJ boasted that it sheeted, which it did, 3 weeks later, after it was gone.

All sealants and waxes will bead when it rains. What did you expect, it´s just plain physics?

Exactly. Now if you use a cheap wax, it may sheet because it isn`t hydrophobic enough to bead. However, if you choose a very high quality sealant or wax, it shouldn`t leave water spotting.

ohk i never realised the scientific aspect of it, i thought it was just how it sat on the paint, i though it was due to the wax sitting on the paint rippled or bumby, thanks for your help anyhow, i guess my quest to find a wax that will sheet my car dry after rain just isnt possible, time to get a garage then haha
