For foam pads I use optimum power clean at 1 part product and 3 parts water in a spray bottle and spray them down after I use them. When its time to clean I rinse them out well and then use a little dawn power dissolver on them and they usually look good as new afterwards.

I wash all pads and applicators in my washing machine with a regular liquid detergent. Has worked great for years.

I spray pads immediately after I remove them from the polisher using them using OPC full strength and set them aside. When I am finished, I rinse them in water and spraying additional OPC if necessary to get them clean.

The polishes I use - Megs and Menzerna both wash out really easy with Dawn or my diluted APC, now there`s nothing short of battery acid that will clean BFWD out of a pad. If you use it (and I do) just dedicate a pad for that and use a paper towel to scrub out the excess afterwards. Unless you`re like Fermani and can do a Peterbilt with a 1/64 once! j/k Dave!

The MF Restore oughta work fine, but it`s pricey compared to Dawn.

Note that most of the time a little LSP residue/staining won`t hurt anything, especially by the time you add fresh LSP to the pad for the next time. I have LSPing pads with some pretty awful looking LSP-residue stains on them and they don`t mar the paint or anything like that.
