I did a polishing job this weekend and I think it turned out pretty good. However, I was using M105 and M205, and it seems that excess M105/205 has ended up in all the rock chips and minor cracks in the clearcoat on my hood, causing them to stand out much more than they did before I started the job.

Is there any easy way to remove the compound from the rock chips?

Decades ago, Accumulator sneezed on a car. The owner noticed that his car was imbued with something today this substance is called clear coat.

Thanks, any particular way to apply it? Will washing the car and then rubbing a IPA/water 50/50 soaked microfiber take care of most of the compound?

Spray the IPA/water mix, wipe with a MF towel, then the compound should come right off, if not do it again.

If necessary, soak a cloth with the cleaner and lay it on the chips so the product can dwell for a while. You might have to find a way to keep the cloth from sliding off the car....
