In my quest to get ready for spring/summer detailing I`m looking to make my washing more efficient. My house has well water and the hose uses the well water, not soft water. I was wondering how much a plumber would charge to plumb in a soft water line to the outside spigot. The water softener in my basement is close to the hose spigot. I`d like to be able to switch from hard water for watering plants and general stuff to soft water for washing cars. Right now I`m using an inline hose softener from PWgazette and it`s a pain dragging it out every time I wash. I also have to use a Wayne portable pump to increase water pressure. Without it a foam gun barely works. :errf: Is there any other pumps that could be connected to the water line going outside and maybe have a switch to turn it on and off? Just tired of lugging out the pump and filter every time I wash...
