I had a chance to help out a buddy today and show why knowing a detailer can have it`s benefits. His daughter is 16 and just learning to drive on his wife`s minivan. :nervous2:

Apprarently she is also just learning that drive-thru service windows locate poles to keep vehicles from hitting the building and didn`t notice this one too close to her rear fender.

Most of the damage was relatively shallow, and we decided to leave the deeper stuff since it`s probably only a matter of time before it happens again :buffing:

It`s not perfect, but surely a lot less noticeable from normal distances.

    Process:

Edge yellow 4" foam, HTHC, 1200-1500 RPM, multiple passes.

Edge green 4" foam, HTLC, 1200-1500 RPM, multiple passes.

Haha, I love how you can tell she just rolled on through it off the back edge.

According to her dad, she claimed it was the drive-thru`s fault for placing the pole there

That`s just so typical. I`m not looking forward to my daughters driving in a couple years. :grrr
