Is it a 100% sealant? If it is, I would think I need to let it cure for 8-12 hours like any other sealant?

Yeah, I consider it a sealant; it`s not a "natural wax" like carnauba at any rate.

I think that the longer wait-time between coats/topping the better, but IIRC the folks at FK said it doesn`t take very long at all (a few hours maybe).

BUT...you gotta watch for solvent action if you try to layer it. You can get the "like removes like" effect, or at least some pretty nasty pseudo-holograms. That said, layered properly it *can* be better than just one application IME.

Yes, it is 100% synthetic sealant, but as it does it does not need the usual 8-24 hours. 30 minutes and you`re good to go for a second layer. At least so I have read--but like Accumulator says, the longer wait time between coats the better, probably.

Thanks guys. I don`t plan on layering it, I was just wondering about cure time before I expose it to the elements. FK is 20 mins away from me so I just went and picked up a tin of 1000P.

DitchTehFish- OOH, lucky you, being so close to FK! Heh heh, that`d probably be expensive for me

I wouldn`t worry much about exposure to the elements. I`ve had all sorts of LSPs get rained on soon after application and it`s never been a problem.

I am jealous.... I go through so much FK425 that I would love to be able to stock up by driving by there.
