What do you guys think of this portable Karcher pressure washer?

Kärcher Residential: Model K 2.19 QVC: Home Outdoor High-Pressure Washer Electric

I have no experience with pressure as I have been using a normal water hose to detail all my life.

I`m planning to go mobile sometime this summer so portable unit like this would be great. I`ve seen most people using a gas powered pressure washer for mobile detailing. What are your thoughts?

All my Karchers (and it was a few, I must`ve been a bit slow on the uptake ) died on me. Not even remotely reliable IME.

Sheesh, that`s a little teeny one. I bought one of the larger ones at Lowe`s for about $150 and figured I might only get one use out of it (after sitting around for a year). To my surprise, it was fine the next year. We`ll see this year, I guess. Last time I was sure to run it dry...I`m guessing most of the problem is the water sitting around in it rusting the insides, I half remember there is some oil you are supposed to run in it for storage, one of those things that they tell you about in the manual but you are unable to buy anywhere (like the cable lube for the Rigid drain snakes). One of these years I should try it on the cars, huh?

If you are just starting and/or and dealing with limited funds they are decent.

I have been through 2 of them... I got a good amount of uses from each one but when my last one died I could no longer keep dumping money into Karchers so I purchased the Cam Spray 1500A... I love it!
