I`m fairly new to the detail business, and one thing partially due to the fact that I live in washington where it rains more than other places. You can see the caked on water spots on my car. I plan to use one of my own cars (2002 Mustang GT) to showcase my talents. I will be basically doing EVERYTHING to this car, but I`m trying to decide on how to get rid of the water spots, they are even on my windows. I have used a Mothers clay bar in the past and eventhough it worked well getting the crap off the car, the water spots didn`t go away much. Here are 2 thoughts of what to do.

1) Wash the car down with dish washing soap to remove the wax, then try either the Mothers or possibly a Zaino clay bar instead and see if that works.

2) Give the car the "Magic" bath with vinegar. Never tried this before but it seems like this works wonders.

Once I can get this off my car I think everything else should be a breeze.
