i`m goin nuts

i got my vet back from the autobody shop where my good freind fixed, repainted and cleared 90% of the panel on the car. i took it to him to get rid of some rock chips etc, etc. while he was at it, i, we got a little carried away and did more than i, we originally anticipated, the end result was utterly awesome, he does, imho, excellent work, does`nt know what it means to cut corners, etc. anyways it`s been about 2 1/2 wks. since he put color and clear on the car and i have to wait at least til next wk. for the paint to fully cure and it`s driving me crazy not being able to put some sort of protection on it. i`ve been keeping the car in the fl. sun everyday and putting it back in the garage at nite. i can`t wait, but i will til next week when i can put something on top of it.

Can you still smell paint fumes after the car has been sitting in the garage overnight?

I`d put some Meguiar`s #5 on it. No need to wait as long as the paint is dry (at least AFAIK, and I`ve applied it over days-old repaints with no problems).

And yeah, it`s great that you found a good shop :xyxthumbs
