Hey guys...just clayed and waxed my car yesterday....just need a little advice....I noticed a tiny rust spot on the edge of my stainless steel tail pipe....how can I get rid of this?

Also...my car is white.....and I really just spot clayed the areas that had the orange dots...lol....which worked....used Mother`s clay bar....but on my hood, I have several water spots....though I actually think they are ONR spots.......that regular washing didn`t get rid of...being that it was getting dark I didn`t see them until the next day.....today.....after waxing the car..

Can anyone give me some tips on how to remove these spots for my next detail?

    Thanks

    Melissa

Melissa, Most metal polishes should work if the rust has not eaten away at the finish. I use blue magic that most auto parts stores sell. If its stubborn, try some #0000 steel wool with the blue magic.

If the clay did not work on the water spots. try some vinegar. If that does not work and you don`t have a machine, you could try a light polish by hand.

IMO you should clay the entire car, especially if it has not been done in the last year.

A peice if #0000 steel wool and any glass cleaner will clean up that tailpipe in an instant.
