I use a pressure washer not all the time but on REALLY dirty trucks/ jeeps to knock off mud and junk. I also like to use it time to time on cars to help speed up a wash and knock off as much grime as I can. The best part I love to use it on is wheels, makes it a snap.

So MY big concern is that using a pressure washer strips wax/ sealants off, any truth to that?

I would imagine so. I`ve done my fair share of mudding it up in my pick-up truck, and a standard hose has never failed me.

Now wheels, that`s another thing. That sounds like a great idea.

I always use a pressure washer to pre-rinse; havn`t noticed anything like wax being stripped off from it.

I mean, anything`s possible (even paint damage) if you do something stupid with it (e.g., using anything but the 65* nozzel)

I use a PW and foam cannon to clean my trucks when they get *dirty*. I haven`t noticed the LSP die off any faster because of the water. The foam cannon OTOH can if you use too strong of a shampoo/dilution.

The PW works great because you can get all of the grit off of the paint, then use a touch wash to get the road grime, etc. It greatly reduces the chance to mar your paint.
    :woohoo:
