Hello all I am brand new to the site. I have looked around and found a plethora of experience here.

My 2 cars need some help so I turn to you guys.

I have a Black Ford Escape that has several scratches I am pretty sure go through the clear coat and one looks like it goes to the primer. I need to know how to fix these, I know they will probably never be perfect but they currently bugging the crap out of me. What is the procedure for this? Touchup paint?, sanding? HELP...:sign

Also, I have a 09` Matrix in Silver and it has several chips on the hood that I would like to fix. I imagine this would be the same fix as the Escape.

Lastly, Is there any product that I can apply after they are fixed so they will be protected from chipping? I know Wurth makes a coating for the wheelwells and stuff but is there anything like this that is clear and meant for painted surfaces?

Thanks to all in advance for your help...

dunno about how to fix it really.... touch up paint? u`d prob need to include some pix for the pros to respond. as for protection maybe clear bra? you won`t be able to do anything to them anyway for a few weeks if you use touch up paint or something. i think you`re supposed to let the paint cure for that time period first
