So heres what I did for the tires:

    1 - Presoak Power Clean for 1min

2 - ONR wash with a brush with good scrubbing

3 - Let it air dry

4 - Apply Black Magic Matte with foam pad

5 - Let it air dry

Now the tires have a silvery look to it and not the deep dark black look. So which of these steps you think caused it?

    silvery?!

my only guess is maybe, just maybe some of the chemicals in powerclean/ONR didnt not mix well with ur black magic......but that is highly unlikely

some tire dressings make you shake it up before application, maybe the black magic needed to be shaken up

    some pics would help too

yeah maybe the chemicals didnt like each other. try regular water and your soap that you use for the paint for cleaning.

Can this silvery appearance be seen when looking straight on, when viewed at a shallow angle to the face of the tire, or both? I`ve observed a similar result on other vehicles when lots of solvent heavy dressing is slopped on andn viewed at a shallow angle. It seems that the light hits it and you get alot of glare.

If I remember correctly Black magic made a tire shine that had red, green, and silver particles in it, so to add a little color to the tires.. Dont know why anyone would ever buy this, but, who knows...

Was the product a milky color or a clear liquid? I seem to recall extreme shine with silicone based tire shines (clear) which could have a silver hue to it ... I usually stick to water based tire dressings-- better for the tires and looks better (dark black) IMO.

That`s what`s probably causing it. BM Matte should give the tires a pretty flat finish, with a barest hint of the bluish glow of carbon black.

I am thinking maybe I didnt get all the power clean or onr off since I air dried. Maybe the left over is mixing with the BM matte causing it to grey/silver...
