Towel Problem after washing

Well I have the Big blue towels we all see and I made the mistake of washing those bad boys with fabric softener--well to say the least they dont pick up water like they used too:angry. SO whats the best way to wash these and get these back up to par>?

Re-wash them, and replace the softener with white vinegar.

SO the vinegar must do the trick Huh? Do I still put my detergent in?



I have re washed them once with just my detergent only and that didnt really help

Yes detergent than vinegar rinse.

IF that doesn`t do it, up the wash temperature. Mine turn out best when I wash `em on the "sanitary" cycle and some people even resort to *boiling* them, which I hear works great.
