Also on the inside of the glass there is adhesive. The glass is tinted so what would be the best way to remove this?
Hmm, Actually, I have a scratch too, so I will stand by for other answers.
Eastwood sells a glass scratch repair kit. It includes an adapter for a drill, a buffing pad, some glass cleaning compound. You will need to use water to help cool the glass while polishing. It works well for small scratches.

Ok i might have to give that a try! Anyone have any ideas about the adhesive on tinted glass?
Sometimes aftermarket tint is the only thing scratched on the window, sometimes smaller rocks, pieces of dirt get caught in the window seal and scratch the surface every time you roll down your window, now if its factory tinted windows you might need to go with the kit
