Flaking clear or wax?

I noticed a few spots on my front bumper where stuff is flaking off. The pieces are thin and have the color/sparkle of my paint. I applied 2 coats of Meg`s cleaner wax about 3 weeks ago but haven`t washed the car since then except for the pressure wash at the coin op. It`s raining now so I can`t tell what it might be but I`m worried since the car is only 5 years old and has only 50,000KM. There are two spots where its flaking and its a small area. From what I know the bumper was never repainted.



Could this be the clear-coat flaking off or the wax coat(s)? I`ve never heard of wax flaking off. I removed the white haze after it dried after both applications.

Yes, auto wax doesn`t flake like that.
