Man oh man...it`s been 3 years since I was on this board.

Anyways I`m here researching what new and exciting in the world of detailing. Since I`m finally getting wheels for my Z I also wanted to find out what`s the best wheel wax and sealant avail. I`m leaning towards Poorboys Wheel Sealant vs. Wheel Wax vs Wolfgang MetallWerk. What is your recommendation?

I`ve only tried one thing on my wheels and I`m pretty happy with the results. Collinite 845. Easy on, easy off. Very slick and quite durable.

I use Meguiars #21 and it`s held up quite well. I re-seal them once a month and it`s made cleaning my shiny gold wheels a cinch.

Honestly, any good sealant or wax will do.

Wheels take a beating. Salt takes its toll on even the best sealants. So, like you said durability is key. Ive much prefer synthetics over waxes in this application.

I have been using Zaino CS. I find it easier to apply than PB`s. PB`s Wheel Sealant was always runny and goopy for me.

I personally like Wheel Wax. You have to apply very thin coats or its a real pain to remove, but I like the gloss it gives. As far as protection WW recommends 2 coats for maximum durability and gloss, but here in FL 1 coat does the trick and lasts a month or so.

I`m with you on the Wheel Wax being a pain if you get it too thick! But, I have to agree with Danase, and I found either Z5 or DG 111 to work just fine.
