Two reasons, I can start detailing again and I can polish my own car. The paint isnt to bad but the winter took its toll some snow brush marks on the car that will need to be removed. Also when its done I cant wait to take it into work and show it off seeing how they do awfull paint correction. Its funny really an ultimate detail gets you like 2 hrs of paint correction, yea thats going to do something NOT. Even on the not so bad cars they still turn out like crap, and they refuse to promote me to a paint specialist, well come spring ill show em!

Correct half your car (straight down the middle) and bring it to work. That will give them something to look at

Here`s one someone else may want to try, I polished all of my truck except for one square on the drivers door. I put my magnet sign over the square and when you are out promoting, take the sign off and voila, what the paint used to look like.

Yeah, I`m the same way... can`t wait til spring. I usually get so loaded up with spring details that I can`t get them all done. It`s like going to detailers heaven!

(Just bring me some Vettes and I`ll be happy!!! :waxing::waxing::waxing::grinno: )

I did that once. A car lot wanted me to detail one of their cars to check my work. So I only did half the car. Since he did not really want to pay my price. Well, when I finished he had to pay me to finish the rest. The untouched side looked so bad he was afraid he could not match the detailed side. Gained a customer! Also if you do the whole car, there is nothing to compare it to, unless you take pics!

Winter is very harsh up here. Currently in detailing "vacation" because it`s useless. Road abrasives are mixed with melting snow, creating a disaster on the roads. Haven`t washed my SUV in about a month. Kinda depressive when you`re forced off your hobby...

Here in KC we`ve had one of the mildest, driest winters I can ever remember. Less than half the normal amount of precip. And some very warm temps... 70* in February??? Are you kiddin` me?

It`s been like detailer`s heaven here! (Not meaning to gloat, just sharing the joy!)
