I would if they dropped it off to me..... if they hung out and brought beer, that`s a different story. It all depends on how close of a friend they are if I charged them if I were in the business.

Depends, REALLY close friends I might do basic stuff or help out, but full blown multi day details and corrections I usually do for half price.

Depends. Some friends have no want to help and others want to learn. The ones who wan to learn get to pay for supplies and nothing else, the others pay a small fee.

I will be doing my best friends car coming up soon. He does not have an aptitude for this stuff. I rather have him drop the car off and leave then have him stand around distracting me, or "attempting to help." When I do his car, its free,... When I was sick in the hospital, he was by my bed side more than my own brother. All my other "friends," get charged full price... no discount. I rarely do details for friends. The few paid ones I have done have all been for friends of friends, which makes it easy for me to charge them full price.:chuckle: And usually my full price would be considered a mere pittance compared to what most people on here charge for stuff.

Always, my time is worth as much for them as it is for others. By doing it for free or a reduced cost, they will not value the work as much as those who have paid.

If you have a friend that is a lawyer, would they do your house contract for free?

I charged half price for my friend. He also learned a lot too but his dad washed his car a week later so that was sort of pointless. At least I got rid of 99% of the oxidation on the car though...

It depends on the friend really. I usually charge $100 exterior or interior for very close friends and percentages for other friends.

Some friends I do for free, especially the ones that I can trade services with. Others I do for half off. Depends on the friend too.

Close friends, I never charge them, for the rest I only charge them for the products, which is not that significant.

I rarely charge friends, as they provide some good references and usually help. If they buy the product and buy me lunch I`m happy. When I get a good paying detail, I can usually count on them to lend if hand, too.
