    Hey guys,

Which painter`s tape to I buy, what level of adhesion does it have to have? Is the green stuff too much or too little? Can I get the Blue from wal-mart which is labeled as "medium?"

Green blue beige will do. I used all 3 from walmart and work well.

Blue works fine. I just finished taping up some side mirrors to be painted and it works great.

The adhesion is perfect, imo. Its strong enough to hold, but wont leave residue behind

I wish! I`ve had all sorts of adhesive-residue issues when I used stuff other than 3M blue/green.

I once left some generic blue tape on a little too long and it was a huge job cleaing up...used a lot of 3M Adhesive Remover and I had to repolish due to all the marring I inflicted. I still have to replace the M3`s hood roundel, which the tape severely damaged.

I buy both the blue and the green, and use whichever one seems right for the surface I`m taping.

I`ve always used the Scotch blue pictured above, it has left some residue but it wiped right off with some QD and a terry/MF.

also, if you`re looking for some thinner width tape (1/2 inch, etc), carquest carries the green 3m tape as well...
