Youbetcha. Wheels America/FixRim. They have a location in Hayward and offer mobile service as well. I`ve not used them, but have seen their work.

I`m sure there are others out there - just keep in mind that you get what you pay for. IMO $129 is fair. You`re talking quality OEM wheels and a 22...you want these things to look right and to balance easily. No offense, but if you were talking about a 14" wheel on a `92 Hyundai, I could see doing some heavy price shopping.

Nonetheless - California Wheels in San Jose might be worth a shot...and might be a better alternative for Denzil as well.

    Good luck...

I live near Hayward and Wheels America (fixrim.com) would be convenient for me. I just need the typical curb rashes fixed on all four wheels. What`s the general turn-around for something like that?

What do they do to repair the actual damage before painting? Some kind of filler or is the surface shaved back a bit?

    I`m impressed!

I`m a little uncomfortable with a cover thrown on the paint while the work is being done. Of course, I understand how the wind can pick up overspray and all...

$160 for that wheel, although I think I could have negotiated to $125 next time..

    Yes some sort of filler.

As for cover, it`s a clean sheet, and I`m glad he did it because of overspray.

Maybe Im missing something here, but it would be a heck of a lot easier to remove the wheel and take it where ever the heck you want for him to paint it.

"mobile" means i do nothing and he comes to my house, fixes the rim and leaves.

jacking up the car, taking the wheel off, taking it to a rim repair shop, where they have to dismount, fix, remount, balance, and wait usually 2-3 days, pick it up, put it back on my car..

You get the picture. mobile is the way to go..
