I NEED the best towels that are COMPLETELY Scratchless

I have been having such a hard time. Whenever i wipe down my car(2003 BMW X5) I get bad Micro swirls from my MF`s. I have the ones from costco that i found really scratchy on my paint. I also have the supreme shines from meg`s that arn`t as bad but still scratch pretty good. What are the BEST of BEST. Here are some pics of what im talking about. And yes it is 100% the towels. I did a test on a different car, a lexus. One i side wiped off with quik detail and an MF and one i didnt wipe i just buffed it till i went clear with a DA. the side i didnt wipe was clear the other was microswirled out. I want towels to wipe off polish and wax from the car and to use quik detail with.

Are you looking for drying towels or polishing towels??? Lots of good sites to buy "nice" towels, Pakshak, DetailersDomain, ObsessiveDetail and ChemicalGuys.

You can also get some plush EUROW`s or some grey VROOM`s from Target.

you`re going to get alot of different opinions, and there are plenty of high quality mf towels out on the market these days. if you want one OTC, go to your local kragen or k-mart, and pick up the green viking quick detailing towel (around $5 and are just as nice as the boutique brands). i`ve used these for quite some time with no problems... :up

Looks like the ones you currently have should demoted to grunge duty.



My faves are ANY towels from Pakshak or Autopia. You can`t go wrong.

I listed a lot of sites above that have nice towels. Look at the plushest towels they have and you should be fine.

Something to consider with wiping off polish.



If you haven`t fully broken it down, the residual abrasives can mark your paint as you wipe it off with any towel.



Just something I learnt the hard way.

Those pics are pretty bad caused by the MF.



If you`re looking to buy from OTC, go to K-mart and get the green MF QD towels. Very soft still after dozens of washing.

I thought about that but it also does it when i use just quik detail on a clean surface.

How are you washing your towels? Do you use fabric softener?

Just by themselves with no fabric softener.

Don`t forget about 100% cotton made in USA towels. Any microfiber towel will have a tendency to hold little bits of twigs and other scratchy bits, even after washing. Cotton releases dirt completely when washed.



Check any microfiber towel carefully, particularly the stitching, for any hard places. There`s a lot of variation even in the "good" towels, though I`ll say that the PakShak and Danase towels I have are great.

I Thought That Honda Paint Was Soft .i Agree With Autopia Towels.they Didn`t Caused Anything On My Honda Soft Paint Unless The Polish Didn`t Break Down Normally(before I Learn How To Use Udm Of Course).
