I want to know if the leather seats in the 2001 Infiniti QX4 are coated. I`m pretty sure they are but I want to make sure.

I also want to know if leather in a M Edition 1997 Miata (tan leather seats) can be repaired if the surface is starting to crack and peal. It`s not like it is cracking all the way through, only on the surface. The Miata`s seats are mint other than the driver side bolsters which are quite worn out.

I think they are too, but technically could be semi-aniline, a little less/different coating than others. But in either case the surest and easiest test is to put a few drops of water on it. If it absorbs it`s uncoated. If it stays on the surface it`s coated. For repair work I strongly recommend getting hold of a leather & vinyl repair company. That`s what I do, but of course I`m 3000 mi. from ya. New Life used to be there where you`re at as well as a whole lot of others I imagine.
