I have a few small spots on the back seat of my 2006 BMW 330 that I would like to repair. They are not quite tears but more like something pushed into the leather and punctured it. Any ideas on how to fix this? Am I better off just taking it to an auto upholstery shop for repair?

There are ways to fix this but if you are not used to leather repairing then it is not really something to do yourself. It may need a filling and grain copying system which is sometimes quite tricky. It will also need some colour to match to finish the repair.

You should not need to replace the panel if you can find a qualified leather technician. If you are in the UK we can help with that one.

    Hope this helps

I friend of mine has a 2005 328 and he repaired his with a kit from Leather Repair Kits - Do it yourself leather repair products for furniture auto just about anything leather or vinyl

He actually had leatherette, it looks just like yours. His tear was similar, and you cant even tell the difference now.
