So my complain about the Home Depot GS has been that it does not spread the suds very well and that it just does not feel right (as my wool mitt), but I kept it because it has not created swirl marks (even on my ultra soft Lexus clearcoat), but I relegated it to lower panels, windows, and wheels. BigAl3 recommended I tried the Grout Sponge from Lowes (the one by Proline), so I went and got it today and tried it and the results- I LOVE THIS SPONGE. It has bigger pores, so it draws in the dirt better than the HD sponge, and it is 10x softer. Unlike the HD sponge, it does a great job of spreading the suds. I strongly recommend this sponge. If you want to check it out, go to your local Lowes and ask for the Proline sponge, not to be confused with the TileSolutions sponge that you find with the tiles. The Proline sponge is found with the cleaning supplies (mops, brooms, cleaning solutions, etc). Thanks BigAL3 :thx You can also check out the Lowes web site Lowe`s Home Improvement: Buy Kitchen Cabinets, Paint, Appliances & Flooring and enter item # 109653 and then your zip code to see if it is available in your area.

Hmm very interesting review. I may have to end up trying that because I haven`t had the luck of the draw on finding the HD GS`s.

$1.87, even cheaper than the HD Sponge.

You should sell it anyway, I`m not going there anymore unless they get rid of those darn self-checkout lanes...gonna order my grout sponges from Excel if SpoiledMan will ever give us his rating on them!

Hmmm..may have to try one, since there`s a Lowe`s in my hometown. I have a HD sponge, though HD is an hour away.

I won`t know until spring if I will go the "grout route," since it`s typically too cold to wash with the hose and buckets right now.

Oh, I just remembered. My ex-wife is the assistant manager at Lowe`s. Time to go undercover ; )

Setec, the new updated Home Depot in Union has brand new checkout lanes with brand new machines. I used them yesterday to purchase pipe insulation for my boiler`s steel steam piping.

agreed ^ another thing is it fits right in the palm of your hand and doesn`t feel awkward, and you can also get into the tighter spots as well (much more easier to maneuver & handle). since it`s so light and soft, it`s easy to squeeze out too...
