Just like the softer, silkier sea sponge :grinno:

You mean updated self-checkout? I was hoping for some brand new cashiers.

Great another reason to go to Lowes today. I am on it. :bolt

I have a couple of the grout sponges from Excel and I find them to be a little softer than the HD QEW sponge, but also a little smaller. They perform just as good, if not better than the HD QEW sponge. I am personally pleased with them, and yes they are made in Greece.

I know my seal of approval does not carry the weight of a "Spoiled Man" approval, but I am sure that he does not mind if I help him out on this one.

howareb, you are comparing it to the loose HD sponge, or the packaged?

Here we go again. I went to Lowes today and found that they have a different distributer in my area. The sponge they have is a Tile-Soultions sponge. I picked up three.

They look like the Excel sponges if I had to compare.

Those are the ones that were in the tiles section. The ones by Proline are with the cleaning supplies. One sure way to know if they have them in your Lowes is to check out the Lowes web site Lowe`s Home Improvement: Buy Kitchen Cabinets, Paint, Appliances & Flooring and type in the item # for this sponge which is 109653 then type in your zip code to see if it is available. The one you got is just like the HD Sponge.

The great thing about them being bright yellow is that it makes it really easy to tell when it is time to rinse it out.

I guess that it pays to read a little. I did find them right where you said they would be.

I got one to try out. It is a little smaller than the Excel Sponge and HD Sponge, but that means little. It is softer than the HD sponge. I have an ONR wash to do tomorrow. I will try it out.

Note that the Lowe`s Grout Sponge that I have (and that I`m not too favorably impressed with) was from their tile/grout/etc. department. Looking in the cleaning supplies department might be a different matter, as this sponge`s packaging looks completely different from what mine came in (IIRC).

I`ve noticed quite a difference in the softness of grout sponges from manufacturer to manufacturer.

The one you got is probably the one by TileSolutions, which is not much different from the HD Grout Sponge.

I will check this out. Seems like I`m at Lowes or HD about once a week anyway.
