It is kind of hard to tell what it is from the distance of the shot. Have you tried using an AIO cleaner wax? Or better yet what have you tried to do to it to come to the conclusion of possibly needing a PC.

It can be as simple as a haze from a wax to as complicated as (I hate to say) clear coat issues (if in fact it is a clear).

looks more like oxidation instead of haze. you can try DG 105 or 501. it will yake some off. and use a clay bar before the DG

are you talking about that splotchy looking spot just to the right of the passenger headlight...about 8-12 inches up the hood?

i don`t think duragloss (or much any sealant...) will help with oxidation unless is it very, very minor oxidation. you really need to use a PC or other buffer to get the dead paint off there.

Thats a red car I bet he`s talking about the oxidation.

By hand you can try Meguiars Color X or paint Cleaner. But yes a PC will save your elbows.

Well if it does in fact have haze all over, you`re gonna need something pretty abrasive for that hard clear coat (coming from an LS1 owner myself). I`d start with an orange pad and something like Menzerna intensive polish, followed up with a final polish then sealant for the upcoming winter months.

I have huge problems with haze, swirls and spots only on the hood and top of the car. Only place where it shows up bad. I order the UDM, I have all the pads and I have Poorboys 2.5 and 1... Think I am ready to go but lol I just waxed the car. Just wash it with dawn right, then polish it right?

Wash with dawn, might try a clay bar to see if that helps remove anything if it`s just some surface oxidation/hazing. Then, get to polishing.
