The sponges are a lot more gentle then any mitt, sometimes too gentle.

I`m an autopia lemming too. Bought two yesterday but they didn`t come loose in a bin. The ones I bought were individually wrapped. Said they were from Greece and look just like the one in the picture. $1.97 in the tile aisle.

First wash went great although the van was covered in brake dust from the dealer so the paint is still pretty rough. I may have to clay bar to get that stuff off.

this is all good stuff. I made sure to wash my two picky cars (Black VW Beetle Convt, and Dark Blue Metallic Honda CR-V). no added marks. I use one bucket method. I was polishing :waxing: them afterwords anyways to get my first coat of winter protection on but these grout sponges are clearly are what I will be using

it will not be long till some non-autopia sponsor is reselling these as wash sponges for 4-5 bucks each:bat

I still don`t understand how the HD grout sponge differs from all other wash sponges I see in every gas station or car related store. I just might go back to sponges, I quit using them because I thought they made the swirls in my paint, but I have changed my washing technique alot since I used those.

HD must be confused why everyone want their sponges so sudenly

The big difference is how the Grout Sponge feels. Its incredibly soft and allows you to flush the entire sponge very easily.

I bought a packaged grout sponge from HD awhile back and compared it to my Sea Sponge and the sea sponge was MUCH softer. The GS was individually wrapped and not sure it was the same as pictured above, our HD didn`t have any loose in bins.
