I made the mistake of having a new guy detail my M5 (it was more convenient) and he allowed the wax to overlap onto the black moldings. Based on past experience, it`s hard if not impossible to remove that (people have suggested peanutbutter and other stuff, but that only hides it temporarily). Any suggestions?

    Possibly use a chemical cleanser?

PS - waxes still stain? Most LSPs I see now days suggest they don`t stain trim?

I bought a Wax Blaster at Autogeek recently. I was really impressed at how effective it was.

I`ve found that the tool matters more than the chemical.

Using quick detailer and a detail brush works. I also used peanut butter and that worked too. There are also some trim cleaners out there.

Haha we did the penut butter trick to my friends car once back in high school, and like the next day or something he was over and we came outside to find my dog licking the trim of his car. :lol

A toothbrush and some gasoline. Done it a hundred times.

Just be sure to use short stokes with the brush ..don`t want to scratch the paint with it.

May have to do it twice.

There`s also a product specifically made to remove wax. I got mine from CMA. Can`t remember what it`s called... something tricky like "Wax Remover"?
