fenderwell cleaning questions

so the front of my fenderwells, i hvae a black plastic peice. Can i use degreaser and then dress with 303 aerospace or klasse AIO? I believe 303 is waterbased so it really wouldn`t last long.

For the rear fenderwells, i have that rubberized fender coating. Can i use degreaser or is this going to ruin it? Also, how can i dress it so it stays black for awhile?

My car is currently on jackstand on all 4 wheels. I kinda need to do this asap so basically, if you guys can recommend any products, maybe it can be over teh counter stuff. Basically, i want to get the fenderwells back to black and let it stay like it for awhile. Thanks.

I use some APC like simple green and I use a brush that`s just for the fenderwells. I then spray some cheap tire shine on it to make it black again.

Try a little bit of degreaser and see if it won`t damage it..

I spray a 1:1 dilution of simple green on the fender wheels and then scrub them with a few brushes and then wipe then down with an old sheepskin mitt. I then spray NO TOUCH TIRE SPRAY on them and wipe down the excess.

I use APC 4 parts APC 1 / Water 4... a light agitation for heavily soiled wells, hit it with the hose or PW, wipe with MF and dress with stoners more shine.. winning combo

At one point I was 303 crazy and tried ot on everything. It really isn`t cost effective for tires/wells and as you said does not last long for that application

i`ll def try both of this. Thanks guys. I just feel that the tire shine willjust attract dirt. I live on a dirty road : (

The cleaner that you decide to use will depend on the type and amount of oily grime that exist. You may need to use an APC at full-strength or just require simple soap and water.

On my smooth hard plastic fender linings, I use sealants. On the rubberized fender areas I use products like failed tire dressings, Aqua Wax, Eagle one WASH-N-DRY and diluted (water)Optimum Spray wax.

On my "only in perfect weather" vehicle I have recently had great success with CS and OS on the smooth plastic area.

No matter what you use it will be short-lived if the vehicle is a daily driver. These area are under constant assault from road debris.

thanks for the info. yeah, my 350z is lowered about .8 of an inch..but it comes pretty low already, i can`t even stick my hand in there which is why my car is on jack stands right now. Just hopefuly the rubbercoating isn`t stained with dirt or i will buy new undercoating. It did good for 30k miles so far. There is a lot of aluminium suspension parts plus i have the brembo brake system so i`ll make sure i cover all of that up before using some grease lightning or something.

A degreaser shouldnt hurt anything in the fender wells. If its really not needed then I would just use a good APC.

If you do use tire shine, just wipe off the access so it wont hold the dust as bad.

I use Megs ASD in mine and Ive never had a problem with dust. If I wash them my sponge is black so, so I guess some dirt some build up even though they look clean.

i have been lookign for a APC around my area, but haven`t found any. Some people on here told me to order the meg`s APC but i havne`t yet. Do you know anywhere i can find some decent stuff at?

LA`s totally awesome APC is available at Dollar Tree and is really powerfull!!!

I have been working on a gallon of white lightning APC and I liked the LA`s so much I picked up a load of them.
