Scottwax motto is reflection is nothing without depth.

So on a ten year old car that`s been machine polished three times and obviously not as much clearcoat as when new, how does one create that half to one inch of depth?

is it all to do with the polishing and then applying a heap of coats of sealant and then wax or is it all in the polishing

This is my car. Got a brilliant ultra sharp extremely low orange peel and extremely shiny finish from prima swirl, menzerna 85RD FP & Blackfire 106FF plus Prime Acrylic (all by rotary) but the depth, despite 4 x Jett trigger, three coats of fireglaze double strength sealant and twenty coats of aquawax, isn`t as deep as I want it to be.

it probably has quarter to 1/6th an inch of depth.

How does one go about making it deeper and getting max depth on newer cars?

I was able to get this depth on 20 year old paint. I used Megs 9 on a LC orange pad followed by 9 on a LC white pad. Megs Nxt was put on with a gray LC pad and removed with the blue LC finesse pad. This was followed up with a quick buff with a microfiber bonnett.

    Yes but you know me.

Sure it has a brilliant finish for a ten year old but I want more depth on it

The kind of depth you get when you spray a heap of water over concrete floor or hard surface. A crystal clear coating where you can see the paint way down below.

Your car looks pretty darn nice already. If you`re not happy with what you already have, you`re gonna keep polishing till there`s no paint left!

You basically have a retail store in your garage. I don`t see how out of all the products you own and use there`s nothing that will satisfy what it is you want to achieve. Maybe this is all in your head and just another lie you`re telling yourself to keep collecting more products?

Hey I love it`s finish, no doubt about that

I haven`t polished it for well over a year and a half, just kept applying sealant spray

It isn`t my daily driver so that helps and I have absolutely no plans in machine polishing it again.

I was basically hoping to find out how you do create scottwax type depth.
