how often on the same vehicle?...that will depend on the care taken during washes and the softness/hardness of the paint, etc.

i think an average may be 1x per year...maybe 2x at most for most autopians.

I am a "polish once every 2 years" autopian. I follow the strict autopian washing process and it has yielded extremely minimal marring. I plan on keeping my car till it practically dies so I try to keep mechanical polishing down to a minimum. However, I do chemically polish (non-abrasive) twice a year - Usually in fall and in the spring with KAIO. I`ve come to find that glazes are my best friend - they hide any light marring while also amplifying the wetness of my LSP. I am very fortunate that the Dallas area weather is somewhat easy on most LSP`s - although the high temperatures does limit when I can detail.

No set frame .... it`s get a mild polishing when I start to notice my vehicles show paint marring. Haven`t had to use any cutting pads or heavy polishes with careful wash methods.

However, it seems to work out to about twice per year.

If you`re just using a mild swirl remover and non cutting pad, is it okay do it more frequent? Say every other month?

Your washing methods would have to really suck or you would have to be maintaining ultra finiky black paint to be using a swirl remover every other month. I would say you can use a *very* mild product(Vanilla Moose, for example) every other month safely.

How is Vanilla Moose in comparison to Poorboys SSR1? More or less abrasive?

Probably very similar. The VW will fill some marring decently, whereas the SSR 1 won`t.
