has anyone detailed the exterior of a vehicle (paint only) using waterless car wash? If so, how long does it take?

Also, how long does it take to detail a car using soap & water?

    Im talking about the following:

    Exterior hand wash

    Dress Tires

    Interior Vacuum including trunk

Clean instrument panel, dash, and console

Clean windows & mirrors in and out

    Apply rain repellant

    Apply air freshener

    Clean trunk & door jambs

Does anyone have breakdowns timewise per parts of the car. For example like 8 minutes hood, 10 minutes to dress & clean tires, 2 minutes to apply rain repellant, etc.

I used to use DWG products when I was in Hawaii and wasnt concerned with vehicles that were heavily soiled, however here in colorado water can be very neccessary.

Of course waterless is going to quicker because all you are doing is spraying on and wiping of with a quick hand buff instead of prewashing, cleaning, and rinsing. However you can only do this on vehicles that are lightly soiled.

Some waterless carwash products also have carnuba wax in them, so you are clenaing and waxing all at once. Many of the pros look down on this because it is usually consifered more professional to have a step by step procedure rather than a do it all miricle product.

I still use waterless products when I need to save time, esp on wholesale work. I think it is more a matter of personal preference and what other chemicals you are using
