Simple window washing method

Sometime simpler is better. I`ve tried a number of window cleaning products after a wash/detail and have finally decided on this basic technique: I use a foam gun to wash the car. Now, I foam up the windows, wash with my mit then dry with my waffle towel. Guess what - No streaks and the windows are as clean and look as good if not better then when I went through the whole process of using product on the windows after the rest of the car was dried off. I will still use product in bewteen washes if necessary but on my routine Saturday washes I`m back to basics.

I do my interior windows about every 2 weeks or so with SprayAway foam cleaner. I lay a large terry on the dash which drapes over the end to avoid overspray problems and use a waffle to clean and wipe. On the side windows I also lay a smaller terry over the door to avoid overspary. I find the foam works better for me since it doesn`t run down the window and I don`t have to rush. The interior windows really don`t get that dirty since even though I am a smoker, I DON`T smoke in the car. I will tell you, while I LOVE detailing, I HATE doing the inside front and rear dash windows.

Yea, usually the outside is easy for me to clean. The inside, however, is always a challenge. The little passengers in the car like to draw on the windows when it`s foggy So far, the method that has worked for me is using some QD and wiping it clean with a CLEAN microfiber towel. I might try out some Stoner`s Invisible Glass next time, though. I`ve heard good stuff about it.

For the interior windows, I spray Stoners IG pump onto a MF then clean the glass. I saw the IG pump at Walmart the other day.

taking my sunpass box (automated tolls) on and off all the time leaves some wicked circles on the inside of my windshield. A little IG or something and it comes right off.



as for the exterior, after washing the window with a mitt, and then drying the car, a wipe with a dry mf and everytrhing is clean
