I was watching some of the detailers(and I use that term loosely) at the RM auctions here in the Hotel and asked one of them what they were using to wipe the cars with. Mind you, these are 300-750K vehicles. One was a Maserati M12 and a 1953 412S Ferrari worth appx.6.5 Million, and the guy said " I don`t know, some milky white stuff that we use everywhere". I mean, if I owned one of those and this guy said that, I`d fire him.

A lot of those older cars have nice paint with a lot of spidering though. I don`t think they use a lot of polish..... seriously tho, the guy`s wiping down the cars, were using the same side of the MF for everywhere!! For the value of those cars, you`d think they would be more careful.

    JMO.........regards.

Most cars sold at the auction have POOR detailing. Even the cars roped off need a good detail still. Go figure !!
