i just bought a used volvo s60r and there is this stain in the back seat. the stain looks to be absorbed into the leather, not just on the surface. the border of the stain is a little bit harder than the rest of the leather. i`m guessing it was some type of liquid.

the leather is called Atacama, and i believe it is coated. i did the drop of water on it and it doesn`t absorb right away.

i`ve tried lexol, and i was going to buy some leatherique or try woolite, but i wanted opinions first.

    thanks in advance.

Hmm....stain in the back seat? Wonder what it is? LOL! j/k

I would try using a 6:1 ratio of water & woolite. Or maybe 4:1.

    LOL, no problem!

Seriously though, try the Woolite. Cheap starter step.

It looks to be a water mark. I am not entirely sure you can remove it. You might be able to lighten it with a steamer, or make the rest of it similarly shaded via another high water application.

I would do both with caution

hmmm, doesn`t sound good. i`m just gonna leave it be and hope it lightens with time or my cleaning/conditioning.

i just tried woolite and it did nothing to it. my last hope was leatherique but with what grouse said i`ll probably just let it be.
